Passport to your National Parks

Today I thought I would share with you one of my favorite programs run by the National Park Service. The Passport to Your National Parks book!
I know you have seen pics in the past of us "getting our stamp" and I thought I would share some information about this awesome program!
About the Program:
At nearly all of the 390+ National Parks, one or more National Park Passport Cancellation Stamps can be acquired at no cost at park visitor centers and ranger stations. The stamps are similar in nature to regular passport stamps stamped in a traveler's national passport. The stamps serve as a record of each park visit.

Kayley also has her own book. I started it for her at the very first National Park she visited. Casa Grande Ruins in March of 2007. She wasn't even 1 year old yet. But, she's been there!
I plan on doing this passport book with all of our children.

Places Kayley has been:

North Atlantic Region:
Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania NMP - Chancellorsville, VA
Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania NMP - Salem Church
Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania NMP - Ellwood

National Capitol Region:
FDR Memorial, D.C.
Lincoln Memorial, D.C.

Casa Grande Ruins NM, Coolidge, AZ
Tonto NM, Roosevelt, AZ
Joshua Tree NP, Cottonwood
Walnut Canyon NM, Flagstaff, AZ

Montezuma Castle NM, Camp Verde AZ

As you can see, Kayley has been a LOT of places already for a barely 3 year old girl!!

About MY book:
My book has been in use since July 2007.
It has seen better days. The slime on it is from sunscreen that exploded in my cars glove box sometime during the summer in Colorado Springs, CO.
The downside, is now my book is yucky-looking.
The upside is that it smells really good. =)

I am so addicted to the National Parks now that I cannot pass up a brown sign on the highway without wondering if I have time to stop, check it out, and leave with a stamp in my book.
Try it out!
