Well. We took Kayley to see her first movie at the Theater. We decided to see Pixar's new movie, UP! Here is Kayley outside the Cinemark. She got her ticket and we are ready to go inside!
oooohhh...look at all that candy. We didn't buy candy, but we did buy some popcorn.
They were still cleaning, so we had to wait outside a little bit before going in and finding a seat... As you can see, Kayley already found her special booster seat.
A lady in line offered to take our picture... Cheese!
So, just in case you were wondering... Kayley did pretty good. She got restless toward the end and struggles to use her whisper voice, but there were a few other kids in the theater doing the same so it was no big deal. Between you and me...I'm glad it will be another 6 months before the next Disney movie comes out. Hahaha.

Princess Soup

When I was a kid, I always had this desire to eat the special soup. You know...the kind that had shapes of cartoon characters and so forth. I knew that it was just plain old chicken noodle...and you paid a whole lot more money for the funny shapes. But, I secretly wanted it anyway.

So, I bet you can guess where this is going? There we were, in the grocery store...and Kayley spied, Disney Princess soup. At first I said, "no way"...and then I decided... "you know, why not?" So...Kayley got Princess soup...and she really liked it. It was way better than regular chicken noodle soup apparently. I even went so far as to cut off the label so she could compare her noodles with the noodle chart...

Sigh...what can I say? I'm a softie.

Kayley is Famous!

Check this out! Kayley is famous! She is the 3rd child down on the Kids Fly Safe website.

Kayley Wep-wesents the Wallypop Guild....

There is nothing quite so yummy as a "Wallypop."
Kayley especially enjoyed this blue one.
Can you tell?

Sensational Summer Science Camp

We were so sad to see the end of preschool...but we still have a lot of fun in the works! Kayley is signed up for 3 different summer camps at her preschool. This weeks camp is called Sensational Summer Science. Summer camp is a little longer than her traditional preschool...they stay long enough to eat lunch. Kayley was so excited when I packed her a little lunch in the cute brown and pink cooler bag. She carried all morning.

I worried about Kayley staying so long at preschool, so I came by an hour early yesterday (right before lunchtime) to make sure things were going ok. She was basically, "Hi Mommy...Go Away Mommy, we are not done yet." Whew...Apparently I was the only one worried.

Wednesday's are "Water Fun Day" and the kids wear swimsuits and play in sprinklers...Here is Kayley in her stylish new swimsuit. I thought it was awfully cute and had good coverage to discourage sunburning...

72 Hours

We are pretty proud of our little 72 Hour Kits. It took us a year to put them together. We are still missing some pieces but at this point, nothing too critical is missing and I think we could survive for 3 days with nothing but these little backpacks. Got your 72 Hour Kit together yet?

From the Heart - Cheryl St. John

I am excited to share that we are featured on Cheryl St. John's Blog - From the Heart! I submitted our story to her Readers Corner feature and we are on there today! You can find a link to her blog to the right hand side. Cheryl is one of my favorite authors, writing mostly historical romance.

About Cheryl St.John: She is the author of thirty-five books. She has been nominated for RWA’s RITA for Best First Book, by Romantic Times for Best Western Historical, and by Affaire de Coeur readers as Best American Historical Romance. LAND OF DREAMS, THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, and PRAIRIE WIFE each won Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Awards.

Many of her Special Editions made Waldenbooks Top Ten and the BIG SKY BRIDES anthology climbed to #35 on the NYT list.

Look for her Love Inspired Historical "The Preachers Wife" coming out in June!!!
I can hardly wait!

Fishy Dress

Ok, first of all...Kayley is a doll. So when I have such a cute subject to work with I usually end up getting good pics. In other news, the iPhoto software on my new Mac is awesome! Look at what I could do with these photos! I touched up the first 2 while playing around with my new software, the others I left alone. They turned out so good!

Kayley was pretty excited to carry her own scripture bag to church today.

Did You Miss Me?

Did you miss me? Our computer crashed and burned on Wednesday. We took it in to Geek Squad and they just shook their heads sadly. After observing a moment of reverent silence, James and I walked over and bought a new computer. We bought a Mac. I am pulling my hair out trying to get used to it but it will be awesome once I find a "Mac for Dummies" or an "Apple for Idiots" guide.
I have Kristen M. to thank for her insistence that "Once we go Mac - We'd never go back."
You'd better be right Kristen because I'm going nuts!

Oh, the good news though... I felt prompted to back up all my photos on Tuesday to an external hard drive and didn't lose a single digital picture (and several other documents too). Whew!

The Potty Chart...

We are pretty excited about our Potty Sticker Chart (which is not even a chart at all). It was very effective in potty training and Kayley is quite proud of it...

A Pirate....

So we heard this joke...about a pirate who had a "bounty" on his head... Kayley likes pirates and has a fun time making a hook with her hand and saying..."Arrrr! There's a Bounty on Me head!" Enjoy...

Just another cute outfit for you to admire. Thanks Gramma for the fishy outfit. We love it!

Last Day of Preschool....

Tuesday was Kayley's last day of preschool for this year. They had a fun little party for the kids. I was lucky enough to co-op on the last day so I brought my camera and snapped quite a few pictures.
Here is Kayley with her little friend Alison.
They fell over!
Playing in the water table.
Stomping in some puddles...

Group picture of Kayley with her classmates.

They had snow cones!

And sprinklers to run through...

Kayley with her teacher Ms. Amy.
Pizza and cupcake party!

We are not technically done with preschool yet! We will be doing a few fun summer programs with them over the next 2 months. Yay! We love preschool!
