Springfield National Cemetery


On a whim a week or so ago we were driving by the Springfield National Cemetery.  We thought we would stop in since we learned at Wilson's Creek that man of the soldiers that were killed during those few days were buried here.  It was pretty amazing.  Row upon row upon row of Unknown Soldiers.  How sad that so many of these soldiers died and were buried here - leaving their family wondering what happened to their father, son, brother...  


Pretty eye opening to see the result of the dead from a single battle...
