Our Busy Morning

Today was a busy morning. We started our morning by going to Kids Kuts to get Kayley her 2nd haircut. She was very good and very cooperative.

They had a cool train table to play with while I paid and chatted for a while.
Kayleys shorter do. Or is it doo?
After our haircut we walked across the street to a little store called "Basically Bows." I didn't know what to expect, but once I walked in the door I was in hairbow heaven. All hairbows - all the time... Can you believe I made it out of there without spending a dime? It was SO hard. =)

Next we made a stop by our library. I wanted to ask some questions about their new culture pass program. We got distracted though by this Crochet Coral Reef. Who knew you could crochet an entire ecosystem? It was pretty neat.

We ended our library stop by playing with puzzles for a while, then headed out with the promise of a happy meal from McDonalds.

Which was yummy...even though I forgot to take a picture of that part.

Map Loco is driving me Loco.

Ok, you all have to check this out! I started a program on my blog at the bottom from Map Loco that tracks the number of hits and the city and state where my visitors are logging in from. I am so excited to have all of these visitors! It makes me so curious who everybody is!? Wow!!
And this is just from Tuesday!!

Childrens Museum of Phoenix

Today Kayley and I had the good fortune of meeting up with my friend Mary and her adorable little boy Trevor. We went downtown to the Childrens Museum of Phoenix. There was a ton of stuff to do there, the kids had a blast...but after a few hours it was definitely time to go home and take a long nap. Enjoy the pics of Kayley and Trevor having a crazy fun time!

Go Kayley Go!
Making lots of noise!

At the carwash.

Sand art table.

In "Noodle Forest." It was pretty easy to get lost in this jungle...
See what I mean?

At the Grocery Store...

Making Pizza...
Yeah, seriously, don't try this at home...

Making more sand art...

Kayley was going crazy with those sand shakers...can you see it all in her hair?
It was FUN!

The Sugar Bowl

To celebrate our anniversary tonight we decided to go to the Sugar Bowl in Old Town Scottsdale. Sugar Bowl is a long-time tradition in Scottsdale. Bil Keane, Cartoonist/Originator of the Family Circus comics you see in the Sunday Paper is a long time resident of the area and the ice cream shop seen in his comic strip is the Sugar Bowl.

To see some of Bil Keane's Sugar Bowl comics click here.

The Sugar Bowl has several original Bil Keane comics hanging throughout the restaurant.

They also have the best ice cream sundae's found ANYWHERE....

No special trip is complete without the necessary Self-Portrait...

Kayley is a good photographer...

My ice cream...the Top Hat Sunday.
Yes...that is a big cream puff....filled with ice cream....topped with hot fudge....
Very very very gooooood....(very very bad for the waistline - ack!!)

James got the DesireMe Banana Split...

Kayley got whatever she wanted, scooped into an extra dish...

Happy Anniversary to Us!

I can't believe it has been 7 years since James and I married for time and eternity. It has gone by so fast! We have traveled a very tough road, we have had our differences (as all couples do), we have had a few major medical scares, death of dear family members, infertility, loneliness & depression due to an extremely tough residency. Together we've survived the military, medical school and parenting. =) I'm proud of us!

So, I guess what I just wanted to say was, Thank You James for being my husband.
I hope we have many more years together.
I love you.
