Family Date...

We went on another one of our family dates... We started our evening by going to Bass Pro. Kayley is into fishy's right now and the last time we went to Walmart she had a great time watching the fish in their tank. Since Phoenix doesn't have an aquarium we thought Bass Pro might be an ok place to go look at fish!

Daddy and Kayley...

Trying on a Camo hat... I think Kayley is ready to go hunting...

Going DOWN!

Oh LOOK! We caught one...

Afterward we went to CrackerBarrel and had breakfast for dinner...
Here is Kayley eating a Lemon....hehehe

She thought it was yucky!
The funny thing was, she kept doing it over and over again... I got this picture on her third lick.

OcTOADerfest..

We went to a special program at the zoo called "OcTOADerfest." It was a breakfast program for kids aged 2-5. It is a preschool-type program that changes monthly. This time it was about Frogs. We met outside on the bridge before the zoo opened...

They gave the kids "turtle food" to feed the turtles in the water and "doggie food" to feed the ducks too.. Here is Kayley holding her turtle food.

At the OcToaderfest program they had different stations for the kids to rotate through. They learned about amphibians. Here is Kayley getting drenched at the water table full of small (plastic) frogs.

Here is Kayley trying out her "Froggy Tongue." The kids used it to try and pick up small plastic beetles... It was not very effective.

For participating in OctToaderfest we got a free spin on the carousel. Here is a self portrait of me and Kayley on the carousel...

Afterward we walked around the zoo for a while... and then went home. It was a lot of fun. We have already made plans to go next month for the "Gentle Giants -- Giraffes" series.

Fire Safety Day...

They had a great Fire Safety Day put on by the Fire Dept here. They opened up the fire truck and let the kids climb all over it. Enjoy these pics from Fire Safety Day.

Fishies, Doggies and Playdough...

Here are a few things we did this week...

I'd like to tell you we paid big money to go to the aquarium and look at the fish, but we are at walmart looking at the fishies in their tanks. It is much cheaper... and just as entertaining for Kayley...

For whatever reason the fish were really fascinated by her red balloon. They would follow it as we wheeled the cart by the fish tanks...

We went to our friends Melissa and Geoff's on Sunday and enjoyed a post-conference dinner. They have this really big stuffed doggie that Kayley likes to "ride."

Afterward she always tells this poor doggie, "Don't cry...sorry doggie...don't cry." And then after she apologizes she climbs on and rides him again...

We also played with Playdough this week. That was pretty fun...

Kayley was pretty excited about this bowl of "noodles" that we made.

Hahaha...here is Kayley with a mustache.

Here Kayley is trying to give her babydoll a fu-man-chu.
